Refund Policy

At CES India, we are committed to ensuring your complete satisfaction with every purchase and service engagement. We understand that sometimes a product or service may not meet your expectations, and we are here to make the refund and resolution process as smooth and transparent as possible.
Refund Eligibility
You may request a refund or return under the following conditions:
- The product is defective, damaged, or not functioning as described
- You received an incorrect item or model
- The product arrived in damaged condition due to shipping
- You are not satisfied with the product within the eligible return period
Return Window
- Standard Electronics & Accessories: 7 days from the date of delivery
- Laptops & Mobile Devices: 7 days from the date of delivery (conditions apply)
- Software Products: 3 days from the date of purchase (only if unopened or not activated)
To be eligible for a return, the product must be in its original condition with all accessories, manuals, warranty cards, and original packaging intact.
Non-Returnable Items
The following items cannot be returned or refunded:
- Opened or activated software licenses and digital products
- Products with tampered or missing serial numbers
- Items marked as "Non-Returnable" on the product page
- Products damaged due to misuse, physical damage, or liquid damage
- Consumables such as ink cartridges once opened
- Customized or personalized products
Damaged or Missing Items on Arrival
Important: You must report damaged or missing items within 48 hours of delivery to qualify for a hassle-free resolution.
If your order arrives damaged, defective, or with missing items:
- Do not accept the delivery if the package appears severely damaged

- Provide photos of the damaged product and packaging
- We will arrange for a replacement or full refund at no additional cost
How to Initiate a Return
To request a refund or return:

- Provide your order number, product details, and reason for return
- Our team will verify eligibility and provide return instructions
- Pack the product securely in its original packaging
- Ship the product to the address provided by our team
Return Shipping Costs
- Defective or Wrong Products: CES India will cover the return shipping costs
- Change of Mind or Buyer's Remorse: Customer is responsible for return shipping charges
- For high-value items (laptops, printers), the product can be returned only if it is defective
Refund Processing Timeline
Once we receive and inspect the returned product:
- Inspection Period: 3–5 business days
- Refund Initiation: Within 5–7 business days after approval
- Credit to Account: 7–10 business days depending on your bank or payment method
Refunds will be processed to the original payment method used during purchase.
Exchange Policy
If you wish to exchange a product for a different model or variant:
- Contact us within the eligible return period
- Exchanges are subject to product availability
- Price differences may apply and will be communicated before processing
Service-Specific Refund Policies
In addition to our standard product refund policy, CES India provides the following service-specific refund guidelines. These policies govern the terms under which refunds, deductions, or settlements are processed for each service category.
1. Aadhaar Enrolment Manpower Services
Service
For operators engaged under the Aadhaar Enrolment Manpower service, a security deposit is collected at the time of onboarding as per the terms of the executed agreement. The refund of this security deposit is subject to the following conditions:
- The security deposit shall be refunded upon successful completion of the contractual period and subject to a satisfactory performance review, in accordance with the terms mutually agreed upon in the signed agreement.
- In the event that an operator is found to be in violation of UIDAI's Enforcement Policies 4.1 and/or 5.0, and a penalty or financial liability is imposed by UIDAI on the operator, such penalty amount shall be deducted from the security deposit at the time of refund processing.
- The operator explicitly consents to such deductions at the time of agreement execution. The deductions will be made in accordance with the company's internal refund process and applicable UIDAI directives.
- Any remaining balance after applicable deductions will be refunded to the operator through the standard company refund process.
Note: All deductions from the security deposit will be communicated to the operator in writing, along with supporting documentation from UIDAI, prior to processing the final refund.
2. Business Correspondent (BC) Services
Service
Refunds pertaining to Business Correspondent (BC) services are governed exclusively by the terms and conditions outlined in the Agreement executed between the Business Correspondent and CES India.
- The refund entitlements, timelines, deduction clauses, and settlement procedures applicable to each BC are individually defined within their respective agreements.
- No refund claim shall be entertained beyond the scope and provisions stipulated in the signed agreement.
- In case of any dispute or ambiguity, the terms of the executed agreement shall be the final and binding reference for refund adjudication.

3. Contractual Manpower Services
Service
Contractual Manpower services are provided by CES India to respective government offices and departments under formal agreements. The payment flow for this service operates as follows:
- The concerned government office or department disburses payments directly to CES India as per the terms of the contract.
- CES India, in turn, releases salaries and applicable dues to the deployed manpower strictly in accordance with the agreement terms and conditions.
- Since CES India does not collect any fees, deposits, or charges from the individual manpower/employees, no refund policy is applicable to the personnel deployed under this service category.
- Any salary disputes or payment discrepancies shall be resolved through the grievance mechanism specified in the respective employment agreement.
Note: Individuals engaged under Contractual Manpower Services are not required to make any payment to CES India. If you have been asked to pay any amount, please report it immediately to contact@cesindia.org or call +91-7756837111.
4. Hardware Sales
Product
CES India offers a straightforward and transparent refund policy for hardware products purchased through our platform or service channels:
- Customers are eligible to request a refund for hardware purchases within 7 working days from the date of delivery, subject to the product being in its original, unused condition with all accessories and packaging intact.
- To initiate a refund, the customer must raise a support ticket through the designated helpdesk or by contacting our customer support team. Refund requests made without a valid ticket number will not be processed.
- Once the support ticket is raised and the return is verified by our team, the refund will be initiated within the standard processing timeline.
- Products found to be damaged due to misuse, physical impact, or tampering will not be eligible for a refund.

5. Software Design & Development Services
Service
Refunds for Software Design and Development services are governed entirely by the terms and conditions specified in the project-specific Agreement executed between the client and CES India.
- The scope, milestones, deliverables, and payment schedule — including refund or cancellation clauses — are individually negotiated and documented in the signed agreement.
- Refunds, if applicable, will be assessed based on the work completed, deliverables submitted, and the stage of the project at the time of cancellation or dispute.
- No blanket refunds shall be issued for partially completed projects unless expressly stated in the agreement.
- In the event of a dispute, the terms of the executed agreement shall serve as the primary basis for resolution.
